Privacy Policy for VaniKeep
Last updated: October 13, 2026
Thank you for using VaniKeep (hereinafter
“the App”). So that you can use the App’s services and features with confidence, this
Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. Please read it carefully.
1. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how the App collects, processes, and uses the data
generated when you use it, and applies to all features of the App. It does not apply to
linked websites or third-party services outside the App, nor to any party not engaged or
supervised by us.
2. How We Collect, Process, and Use Your Data
- Data stored on your device
The product records you create in the App and the photos you take or select from
your photo library are stored on your device. A copy of the data listed in item 2
below is also sent to the cloud.
- Data sent to the cloud
The App sends the item data you create and your expiration reminder settings to a cloud
service engaged by us, in order to understand overall usage and improve the App. This data is linked by a device identifier that
the App generates automatically (shown at the bottom of the Settings screen) and,
together with items you have deleted in the App, is retained until you request its
deletion under Section 6, item 2. When the App connects, the cloud service also
receives connection information such as your IP address, which is used to maintain
the connection and prevent abuse.
- Data recorded automatically during normal use
To improve the design of the App and to fix errors, it records how you use its
features and, when a feature fails, related information (including the App version,
device model and operating system version). These records are linked by the device
identifier described in item 2 and are automatically deleted 90 days after they are
recorded. You may also request their earlier deletion under Section 6, item 2.
- Data you choose to send us by email
When you use the feedback feature, the message is sent from your own mail account,
with the App version pre-filled in the body. Your sending address and the message contents remain in our mailbox.
The App processes and uses the above data only for the purposes stated. We will not
use it for any other purpose without your consent.
3. Data Security
All transmissions between the App and the cloud service are encrypted, and access
controls are applied to the cloud data.
Please note, however, that no method of transmission or storage over the Internet can
be guaranteed to be absolutely secure. We will protect your data using reasonable
technical and organizational measures, but cannot accept liability for any data breach
arising from causes not attributable to us.
4. External Links
The App or this page may provide links to other websites. This Privacy Policy does not
apply to those websites; please refer to their own privacy policies after following such
a link.
5. Sharing Your Data with Third Parties
In order to provide the following services, the App shares certain data with
third-party service providers:
- Google AdMob (advertising)
The App displays Google AdMob advertisements. AdMob collects your advertising
identifier, your IP address, device and performance information, and usage
information for ad delivery, performance measurement and fraud
prevention. Google processes this data under its own policies; see the
Google Privacy Policy
and the
AdMob data usage information.
You may reset or delete your advertising identifier in your device’s system
settings. On iPhone, the App first asks whether you allow tracking; you can change
this at any time under Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Cloud service provider
The product records described in Section 2, item 2, together with the usage records
described in Section 2, item 3, are stored with a cloud service engaged by us.
- Google ML Kit (text and QR code recognition)
The App uses Google ML Kit to read e-invoice QR codes and the text in invoice
screenshots on your device. ML Kit sends basic device and App information,
identifiers generated for each installation, and information about how the feature
performs to Google for diagnostics and usage analytics. Google processes
this data under its own policies.
Apart from the circumstances above, the App may disclose your data where: you have
given consent; disclosure is expressly required by law; disclosure is necessary to avert
danger to your life, body, freedom, or property; or disclosure is necessary for
identification, contact, or legal action.
6. Deleting Your Data and Ending Use
- On-device data: uninstalling the App deletes all data stored on
your device. On Android, you can also clear the App’s data in your system
settings.
- Cloud data: you may request deletion of your cloud data at any
time. Copy the device identifier shown at the bottom of the Settings screen and
email it to pcw.twn@gmail.com so that we can locate your records. We will delete all
cloud data associated with that identifier.
- Feedback: feedback you have sent us by email remains in our
mailbox.
7. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be revised as needed. Revised terms will be posted on this
page.
9. Contact Us
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please email pcw.twn@gmail.com.
